PSI/FaME Functional Grid updated – why and how?
The Parliamentary Review is a series of annual independent publications, which aim to share best practice among the UK’s leading policy makers and business leaders. It covers a range of sectors and aims to raise standards by showcasing some of Britains ‘best’ companies and organisations.
Our recognition and inclusion in this prestigious publication demonstrates that we are much more than just a training provider. As you know, we strive to maintain and raise standards with our commitment towards fidelity in translating research evidence into practice and supporting a community of practice amongst like-minded professionals and services. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised.
Each of its editions focuses on a key governmental policy area, with a variety of organisations sharing personal insight alongside cabinet ministers, government agencies, associations and trade bodies. Later Life Training were invited to share their development story within the 2020 Health Care and Pharmaceutical edition. Our development story highlights the early years of Later Life Training and how over the last 16 years, through the development of new training and CPD products, supported by our tutor and office team, we have progressed to become much more than a training provider with a portfolio that now includes Love Learning Together – our membership service, working collaboratively with a range of local, national and international organisations and a go-to organisation for expertise and advice in this field.
Professor Dawn Skelton, one of our Directors, said “we are proud to have been asked to write this piece as nowadays we complete with many newer providers that don’t seem to have quite such an eye on evidence base, correct messaging, nor an interest in ensuring all that work with older people know their scope of practice or understand the complexity of clinical exercise”.
